ABOUT JAINISM
Jainism is an Ancient Indian religion which began in the sixth century BC which was the same time Buddhism was developing. Most Jains are found in India but there are more Jains spread out across the world. There are an estimated 4.3 million Jains. Mahavir is believed to be the founder of Jainism. Mahavir had disciples called Ganadharas. People believe he lived in the 5th century BC. Jains do not have one God, but have 24 religious leaders. Jains have many sacred books they worship known as agamas.
